Since the past few weeks, the NAATI online application portal for the CCL exam has been unavailable. According to NAATI, they’re going to make some new changes regarding exam dates and fees, which will be be available in early July. The expected changes are listed below.
Self-selection of test date during the application process
The existing application portal does not allow the CCL candidates to select the exam date while booking the exam. You’ll have to make the payment first and wait for your application to be approved by NAATI, and then only can you select a test date. To be honest, everyone hates the idea of having to pay $800! and still face the uncertainity of dates availability.
Thankfully, now after the changes become effective, candidates will be able to self-select the dates during the application process, similar to PTE-A application process. This certainity will allow CCL test-takers to know how much time they have left for preparation. A payment must be made to secure the test date, however.
Cancellation policy and fee schedule
Test-takers won’t be allowed to do any rescheduling within 5 weeks prior to the test date. Any cancellation or rescheduling request must be made at least 5 weeks prior to the test date via the online application portal.
25% of your test fee ($200) will be refunded if the cancellation request is made more than 5 weeks (35 days) prior to the test date. On the contrary, if the request is made within 5 weeks, no refund will be provided.
Book your exam in advance, at least 1 month, and study using our comprehensive dialogues and vocabulary online. Take the super effective 1-on-1 online class with a certified tutor. You will be amazed to see the feauters of our online class.
Issuing of Results
The exam result is usually issued within 8-10 weeks of the test date. NAATI says that they won’t respond to any request for test results within the 10-week period after you sat the exam. However, some may receive their results earlier than 10 weeks. This is because results are published as they are received and checked by the assessors. Also, you won’t be able to book another test session unitl your current test result has been issued.
Application for test review
If you fail the test and you believe you should have passed, then you can apply for a review by paying a review fee of $165. This application for review must be made within 30 days of the result issue date, and you’re not allowed to book another test until the review has been finalised. Please be aware that the review may take up to 8 weeks.
Reviewing does not always guarantee higher scores; sometimes it may result in reduction too!
